This tourney is to help prepare Maui for the prep doubles championship in Oahu (3rd weekend of November)-ish.  AVA will host another high school doubles tourney (Nov).  Last year, 2 AVA boys won the Hawaii Prep Doubles Championship (Colton Cowell and Hunter Marrs).  Over the first 2 years, several Maui schools have had representation: King Kekaulike (Colton & Hunter), Seabury Hall (Emma Pilotin & Amy Ozee, Niki Shaw & Taryn Shaw, Niki Shaw & Phoebe Fickbohm), Kamehama (Patty Batong & Danielle Brown, Danielle Brown & 

AVA's facility is methodically moving forward.  There are 2 courts built and the bathrooms are currently under construction.  This is a big piece of the project but there is more to do: 1 more court to build and many safety features (nets, padding, etc).  To donate sand or make a general donation, click here.

Josh Kulhavy-Sutherland and Oahu partner, Abel Gustafson, won the Santa Monica/Ocean Park AA beach tourney.  As a result, they earned their AAA card and are no longer allowed to participate in AA tourneys.
